In 2018, the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China proposed the establishment of the Xin Wenke, the so-called ‘New Humanities Disciplines’, emphasizing interdisciplinary interaction, improvement of teaching, and integration between education and technology. Before the Xin Wenke reform, some Chinese universities had already practiced interdisciplinary integration, but these individual attempts still needed further improvement.
